Escort Card Peacock Centerpiece
I saw this peacock centerpiece on a blog and I feel in love! I've never seen something like it and I just thought it was dramatic and glamorous and made such an awesome statement. I knew if I made it myself, I would have to make a few adjustments, like not using the real flowers they have and making it a little smaller. I actually found the same peacock they used, but when I saw the price tag of $175, I almost gave up on doing it. After some searching, I found a smaller, simpler version on Save On Crafts and it was only $8! For the branch, I went to a local flower wholesaler and bought two curly willow branches for $17, but only ended up using 1. I got a metal vase from Michaels, on sale for $7 and used a styrofoam square to hold the branch securely in the vase. To give it a little more stability, I just grabbed some rocks from my yard and put them on top of the foam, spray painted the branch and used moss and some dried orchids to finish it off. Below, you'll see the inspiration pic and the finished product. For a total of around $40, I think this will look awesome on our escort card table!
