Birdcage Card Holder
Originally, I was going to just make the stacked boxes to resemble the cake, but then I saw this gorgeous birdcage and I just had to have it!
I ordered a set of birdcages from Save On Crafts and it came out to around $25 for both of them. They came in an ivory color, so I spray painted the larger one, which is the only one I'm using, in a gloss brown finish. Then I just got some purple ribbon and wrapped it around the bottom and top to cover the fruit detailing and added a peacock sword feather and a peacock eye feather with a dried orchid. All in all, it took about 5 hours with dry time to complete this project. Sean says this is his favorite out of all the DIY projects so far.
